Walmart Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Deputies Hurt

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- Detectives are investigating why a man ran from deputies and then opened fire in a Walmart parking lot, sparking a shootout that left him and the woman he apparently was with dead and two law officers wounded.

Sunday's violence came after the Kitsap County Sheriff's deputies answered a call about a suspicious person at the store in Port Orchard.

Two deputies located the man and tried to talk to him but he began running, pursued by the officers.

"For reasons not yet known, the suspect turned and fired multiple shots," sheriff's spokesman Scott Wilson said.

Both men were hit and unable to return gunfire, but a female officer arriving on the scene shot and killed the gunman, Wilson said...

4 Detroit Police Officers Shot at Precinct, Cops Say

DETROIT -- A gunman opened fire inside a Detroit police precinct Sunday, wounding four officers including a commander before police shot and killed him, authorities said.

Police Chief Ralph Godbee said along with the commander, two sergeants and an officer were wounded, but none appeared to have life threatening injuries.

Two officers, one U.S. Marshal shot in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Three law enforcement officers were shot in St. Petersburg this morning.

ABC Action News reporter Don Germaise is on the scene and says two of the officers are with the St. Petersburg Police Department. The third is a U.S. Marshal.

Germaise describes the situation as "highly fluid." Multiple shots have been heard throughout the morning.

The shootings occurred around 7:45 a.m. at a home in the 3700 block of 28th Avenue South.

The gunfire broke as the officers were attempting to serve a warrant. According to a police spokesman, the officers were met at the front door by a woman who said the suspect was in the attic. One officer tried to get the suspect out of the attic and that's when he began firing. Two of the officers managed to get out of the house. The third was unable to escape...
