Tyrants Always Seize the Guns Before Subjugating the People
We
all know that the American Revolution commenced with British troops
marching on Lexington and Concord in order to seize the arms of the
colonial resistance to the tyranny of King George. The British were
soundly defeated as the colonists vigorously defended their only means
available to stand up to the British.
Let
the record show that upon this moment, history is indeed repeating
itself as the UN backed ideology is rearing its ugly head and attempting
to disarm citizens without using due process of law.
The National Rifle Association claims it has obtained a Justice
Apartment memo that notes President Obama’s gun control initiatives
would be ineffective without seizing citizens' assault rifles and
requiring a federal gun registration.
It's not clear how the NRA obtained a memo under the name of one
of the Justice Department's leading crime researchers, but its
authenticity has not neither been challenged by the White House nor
Justice Department.
The NRA is using the memo in advertisements, zeroing in on the
statement claiming that the success of universal background checks
would depend on “requiring gun registration” and that gun
buybacks would not work “unless massive and coupled with a
ban.”
The memo also says that requiring background checks for gun
purchases would not be enough to address gun violence and that it
could lead to more unlawful weapons sales among those not able to
pass or not willing to subject themselves to a background

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently raided one of our readers: a kitchen table FFL dealer who does everything—everything—by
the book. He has, however, consistently criticized the ATF for its
unconstitutional regulations and long history of extra-legal activities.
This is his story. Update to follow, after he consults with his lawyer .

First of all, forget about them coming
to the door. They’ll intercept you on your way home from the Doctor’s
office (for example), then one vehicle will come up behind you and two
will block your way in front and turn on the flashing lights. They then
jump out with ‘real’ assault rifles, point them at you and order your
hands up, and exit the vehicle. You, being a law abiding citizen,
comply. At gunpoint, they order you to assume the position against your
car, handcuffs you and frisk you, and you’re directed to get into the
back seat. Then the lead agent gets into the driver seat and drives your
car to your driveway. You sit there with cuffed hands behind you –
bleeding.
As multiple vehicles close off the street and announce over a
loudspeaker for all your neighbors to remain indoors (and are prohibited
from leaving), the lead agent calls your house and directs your wife to
come out of the house – and sit in the front seat. She does. Then the
Homeland Security Special Tactical Unit, and the county sheriff Swat
Team arrive, and drive two armored cars over the curb onto the lawn, as
the “Jack Booted Thugs” with machine guns, helmets, boots, camo,
etc. enter and search your house.
You see a Homeland Security Helocopter circling overhead. You are
asked if you have any explosives (well, several cans of black powder….)
and are there any booby traps in the house. They offer to let you read
the search warrant, but your hands are cuffed behind your back. The
agent in your car reads it very quickly.
After the Jack Booted Thugs are through, teams arrive to search and
ransack the house. After about an hour, you are released and NO CHARGES
are filed. You are required to stay beyond the perimeter as they set up
tables in your yard and begin to paw through and process your worldly
possessions.
You finally realize that they’re going to keep an eye on you, but you
go to a neighbor to make phone calls – and find a good lawyer, who
arrives on site, but is kept out by the agents. The agents search one of
your cars and release it to you. Hours later, knowing there is nothing
you can do on site, you leave and arrange a motel for the night.
Later, about 9PM (12 hours later), you phone your house and an agent
answers, then advises you they’re about to leave. You drive to your
house to see four Feds in your front yard, ready to leave. They tell you
they don’t know where the house key is (which you gave them), nor where
your cat is. They hand you a copy of the search warrant, but fail to
provide a copy of the inventory (which they give you two days later).
You examine your house. Your computers are gone along with every
extra & old hard drive, all data cds, floppies, thumb drives,
compact flash drives, and other SD drives for your camera. But most
shocking, is that your entire gun collection, which you spent a lifetime
building, is gone.
Antique guns, airguns, non-guns. Virtually everything. One antique
shotgun lies broken on the floor. Papers are strewn everywhere. Once
they looked at it, and didn’t want it, they just tossed it aside. Piles
of paper. The house is trashed – every room. Your clothing has been
ransacked. Your wife’s clothing and underwear. You don’t even know what
is missing. You look around, feel sick, lock up the house and go to the
motel.
You return the next day to try to start to get things back in order, but realize it will take weeks.
Later, you find out that the affidavit which justified the search
warrant is sealed – and you can’t even find out why they searched and
seized. A few days later, the sworn affidavit is unsealed, and you find
out that the agent lied repeatedly, told half-truths, speculated about
possible violations, and related his ‘suspicions’ with no basis in fact –
and that the search warrant is nothing more than a gigantic fishing
expedition to see what they could find . . .
Below is the Fri. July 29 article by Paul Joseph Watson and Aaron Dykes exposing the larger program. This new mandate by the ATF– imposed without law via executive policy– clearly undermines the 2nd Amendment by conditioning the public that buying guns is illicit.
Placing suspicion on the purchase of more than two guns, filling out purchaser profile reports and making visits to customer homes all chill the notion that gun ownership is still “legal” and “a right.” A type of martial law has been imposed upon the entire Southwest zone in the name of fighting cross-border drug gangs, restricting 2nd Amendment rights and placing the burden of proof upon the seller. Obama’s newly issued Executive Order #13581 ‘Blocking Property of Transnational Criminal Organizations‘ declares a national emergency, nominally going after drug gangs like Las Zetas, yet is written vaguely enough that nearly any entity could be seized if a link is suspected. One such likely target here are the gun shops that ATF and Justice Department have repeatedly tried to link to gun violence. Will dealers who either fail to comply with this paperwork or who are suspected of supplying guns that are later sold across the border be shut down and seized?
Just as drug war border zones extending 100 miles from the border are sold as “Constitution free zones” where rights can be violated, the ATF has effectively obligated gun dealers in 4 states to preemptively report on its customers, despite existing background checks under the FBI. Meanwhile the Justice Department, ATF, FBI & Co. based in Phoenix ran a false flag under Operation Fast & Furious to arm drug gangs to frame sellers in the Southwest border zone. A similar false flag was run in Austin in 2010 where the ATF and local police staged an arrest and declared a ban on private sales in effort to shut down Texas Gun Shows, a favorite target of gun grabbers longing to close “loopholes.”
If Barack Obama, seeking to ban guns “under the radar,” can get away with this bureaucratic tyranny through executive policy under his Presidential agencies, then the executive branch can get away with anything (powers that will also extend to the next GOP stooge in the Oval Office). President Obama “the Constitutional scholar” has dangerously ruled by decree far too many times already: waging war with Libya while arrogantly saying he doesn’t need to consult Congress; taxing carbon dioxide through the EPA when Congress wouldn’t pass legislation; ignoring the Constitution by taking foreign titles under the U.N. and more. Now, after refusing to secure the border, Obama will cynically wage ‘war’ on the drug gangs (openly backed by top Wall Street banks and armed by the executive branch) in order to attack the second amendment by proxy. Gun dealers, induced to inform on their customers, will be painted with fault as firearm restriction sets in– unless we say no.
Exclusive: ATF Intimidates Gun Owners With Home Visits

Even as it finds itself embroiled in a scandal that saw weapons being deliberately sent to criminal gangs in Mexico, the ATF has issued a letter ordering firearms dealers in border states to report sales of two or more semi-automatic rifles, and is following it up by harassing gun owners with intimidating home visits as well as threatening gun dealers to spy on their customers.
As the Justice Department announced earlier this month, “All gun shops in four Southwest border states (Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico) will be required to alert the federal government to frequent buyers of high-powered rifles.”
The ATF letter also orders gun dealers to report to the feds sales of “two or more pistols or revolvers, or any combination of pistols or revolvers totaling two or more.”
The letter, which was subsequently sent out to gun dealers and has since entered the public domain, orders firearms retailers to “Submit to ATF reports of multiple sales or other dispositions whenever, at one time or during any five consecutive business days, you sell to an unlicensed person or otherwise dispose of two or more semi-automatic rifles capable of accepting a detachable magazine and with a caliber greater than .22 (including .223/5.56 caliber).” The directive takes effect from August 14, 2011.
The federal government is enforcing a law that was never passed.

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, Police Superintendent P. Eddie Compass unleashed a wave of confiscations with these chilling words: "No one will be able to be armed. We will take all weapons. Only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns."
Thousands of firearms were then confiscated from law-abiding gun owners. The police gave no paperwork or receipts for those guns. They just stormed in and seized them.

Now, one year later, these crimes against gun owners have snowballed into a far greater threat to our freedoms. Even though NRA secured a court order demanding their immediate and unconditional return, almost every single confiscated firearm remains locked in government trailers.

Many of these firearms were passed down from father to son, generation to generation. Some are precious heirlooms. Some are collector's pieces won in our wars. NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) -- New Orleans police lined up "like at a firing range" and fatally shot an unarmed man in the back as he fled from them in the days after Hurricane Katrina swept ashore, a witness to the shooting told CNN.
It marks the first time a witness has come forward publicly with information about the shooting of Ronald Madison, a 40-year-old mentally retarded man whose death has sparked a police investigation and a grand jury probe into what happened in and around the Danziger Bridge that day.
"He just fell like he was collapsing," Kasimir Gaston told CNN. "Like something just wiped him out." (Watch Gaston describe what he saw )
Gaston was one of many flood refugees living on the second floor of the Friendly Inn, a low-income motel on the city's east side. On Sunday, September 4 of last year, he says he woke up and stepped onto the balcony of the motel and saw a man running, hands outstretched and being fired upon.
Initial police accounts said that Madison reached for his waistband and turned on police, but Gaston said Madison did not appear to have a weapon and that he was running away from police "hands out, full speed" when he was shot.
Police declined CNN's request for an interview.
After the shooting last year, police said officers had responded to reported gunshots on the Danziger Bridge and that a running gunbattle ensued with six suspects.
One teenager was killed near the base of the bridge and three other people were wounded, according to police reports.
A police department press release from October 4, 2005, said Madison, described as an unidentified gunman, was "confronted by a New Orleans Police officer. The suspect reached into his waist and turned toward the officer who fired one shot, fatally wounding him."
When asked if Madison had a gun, Gaston said, "I didn't see any on him."
No gun was found on Madison's body.
An autopsy obtained previously by CNN and verified by the Orleans Parish Coroner said Madison suffered five gunshot wounds to his back and two in his shoulder. (Watch police describe a running 'gunbattle')
'What I saw with my own eyes' Gaston said he came forward now because he is still troubled by what happened. He said he decided to break his silence after watching a "CNN Presents" documentary, "Shoot to Kill," about the days after Katrina hit the Gulf Coast on August 29, 2005.
CNN has visited the room where Gaston was staying. From that balcony, it is about 100 feet to where Madison was shot and killed.
The police department has said the shooting has been thoroughly investigated. But Gaston said no officer or detective approached him about what he saw. He was not asked for his name or phone number, Gaston said.
Gaston said his only contact with police on that day was when officers told him not to touch Madison's body, which was lying behind Gaston's truck, parked in the motel entranceway.
CNN has obtained a newspaper photo taken that Sunday morning that shows where the body fell. The back of a truck with a rusted trailer hitch and broken tail light can be seen in the photo. The photo appears to be Gaston's truck, which now sits in a parking lot in Dallas, Texas, where he now lives.
"They notified me that I had two bullet holes in the passenger side," he said. Two bullet marks can be seen at the right rear of the truck today.
Mary Howell, an attorney suing New Orleans police on behalf of the dead man's family, says there were several potential witnesses living at the Friendly Inn at the time of the shooting. She has accused police of violating procedures by failing to even write down their names.
Howell said Ronald Madison and his older brother, Lance Madison, were trying to avoid the shootout between police and others that day when they ran up the Danziger Bridge, toward the other side of the Industrial Canal.
Lance Madison has said a policeman pointed what looked like a rifle or shotgun at his brother and shot Ronald near the top of the bridge. Lance said he helped carry his wounded brother to the entrance of the motel and left him there while he ran for help. After being arrested, Lance was brought back to the motel where, he says, he first saw his brother was dead.
Howell said police, in the chaos after Hurricane Katrina, failed to properly investigate the fatal shooting and are now trying to put everything behind them.
"There's a lot of things that have been washed away with this hurricane," Howell said. "We are doing everything we can to make sure this is not one of them."
While the family of Ronald Madison presses on with its lawsuit, a grand jury in New Orleans is investigating the case. Gaston said he is willing to testify before the grand jury if it will help get to the truth.
"I'm not trying to say nobody did this and nobody did that," Gaston said. "I'm just saying what I saw and being truthful and honest about what I saw with my own eyes."

We know that wholesale gun confiscation happened during Hurricane Katrina. We watched the Chief of Police of New Orleans declare on national television that “no one [no private citizen] will be able to be armed, we’re going to take all the weapons.” We watched an old lady being tackled in her own kitchen and disarmed.
In fact, that atrocious event was one of the reasons I started Oath Keepers. But I also knew, from my service as an Army paratrooper, that there are men and women of courage, honor, and integrity in the military who would refuse to obey such orders. A Stand-Up Example from Katrina Emerges
This past week, on Friday May 14, 2010, I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Staff Sergeant (SSG) Joshua L. May of the Utah National Guard who told me how he, along with the other men in his military intelligence unit, refused to participate in any gun confiscation while deployed to assist during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
I finally discovered SSG May and his story only because after a speech I gave in Logan Utah on May 13, 2010, a local resident, Farley Anderson, walked up and told me about what SSG May had done. Upon hearing of it, I knew I just had to talk to him, so I had Mr. Anderson track down SSG May’s number and I called him at 11pm and invited him to breakfast the next morning. Until that night, SSG May hadn’t even heard of Oath Keepers (which is ironic since he is a shining example of an oath keeper). We met for the first time that next morning, Friday, May 14, 2010. During breakfast, SSG May told me his story, and then I asked him if we could go outside and do a video interview in the restaurant parking lot. He agreed that his story needed to be told and the below video is the result.
