Trailer, web sites paint a picture of a dystopian America in 2049.
The teaser is linked to the game's website, America 2049, which features a countdown clock that indicates the mystery will be resolved next week. Until then, the story behind the game unfolds on a number of viral web sites, which can be conveniently accessed through Zooglio.com, a 2049 version of Google that includes links to sites that appear to detail the major themes of the game.
At SerennCo.com, a fictional pharmaceutical company, discover SerennAide, "the first-ever sociopharmaceutical clinically proven to safely reduce aggressive behavior among the general population."
Over at SMRTTid, learn about the subdermal chip that has been injected into countless Americans, acting as an identification and tracking device.
Then check out the two sides in conflict in America 2049, The Council On American Heritage, playing the role of big brother, and Divided We Fall, the resistance.
