Anonymous Leaks Personal Details of Cop Who Pepper-Sprayed Wall Street Protesters

Gawker.com

Anonymous is on the hunt for the cop featured in a video pepper-spraying Occupy Wall Street protesters for no apparent reason. They say they've found him, and are circulating a document with his and his family's personal information. This could get ugly.

According to a document posted on Pastebin.com, the cop who blasted young women in the face with pepper spray in the now-iconic video above is NYPD Captain Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna. Bologna was identified as the pepper-sprayer by a photographer who witnessed the incident and posted a blown-up image of his badge to his blog.

The Pastebin document, which has about 7,000 views at this writing contains Bologna's name and possible phone numbers and addresses, along with a list of potential family member names. It reads:

You know who the innocent women were, now they will have the chance to know who you are. Before you commit atrocities against innocent people, think twice. WE ARE WATCHING!!! Expect Us!

According to a 2005 article in the Villager, Anthony Bologna has been with the NYPD for nearly 30 years. He was in charge of Lower Manhattan's police precinct for five years, before becoming the "borough executive" of the Manhattan South Precinct in 2010.

What might Anonymous do with this information? One popular Anonymous twitter account asked: "Question: what kind of pizza do you think Antony Bologna would like?"—a reference to the group's favored harassment tactic of sending a flood of pizzas to victims' houses. If Bologna has any nude pics floating around he might want to clean those up, as Anonymous leaked nude pics of a BART spokesman during protests of San Francisco's public transit police.

NYPD, which told the New York Times pepper spray was deployed "appropriately," did not immediately return a request for comment.

As we watched your officers kettle innocent women, we observed you barberically pepper spray wildly into the group of kettled women. We were shocked and disgusted by your behavior. Firebombs fly in fierce clashes over Greece dump site

Firebombs exploded and clouds of tear gas filled the air as helmeted riot police moved in on protesters on the edge of small Greek town Keratea, which is gripped by a rebellion against state plans to place a rubbish dump in the area. The planned landfill site has prompted several months of violent protests from residents. Protest organisers argue the proposed landfill site is too close to a residential area and would also damage an ancient site, which they say has not been properly excavated.

Police Would “Absolutely” Use Force On Wisconsin Protesters

Despite publicly condemning Governor Scott Walker’s proposal, troopers would obey orders to crush dissent

Police would don riot gear and “absolutely” use force on protesters in Wisconsin, according to a state law enforcement representative, further stoking fears that the ongoing union demonstrations against a plan by Governor Scott Walker to eliminate collective bargaining rights for most public employees could end in violence.

Despite the fact that the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association (WLEA) has vocally condemned Walker’s move to raise the level of pension and health contributions public workers would be forced to pay, WLEA executive board president Tracy Fuller said that troopers would still obey orders, don riot gear and “absolutely” use force against protesters to crush dissent if they were told to do so.

“I have worked with the University of Wisconsin police officers that are there, along with the capitol police officers, and certainly I’ve worked with the state patrol officers because I’m a state patrol inspector. I’m not able to even fathom that any of those police officers would not carry out whatever orders were given to do their job,” Fuller told Raw Story.

“I guess that’s the one ironic thing about this,” he continued. “Last night my wife asked me to make a sign for her to take down there to protest. On that day, I thought to myself I could be making a protest sign for my wife to take down there … Then I could be down there confronting my wife with the protest sign that I made. God, you see … That’s … That’s my job.”

While adding that “It would not look like the United States, if we did that,” Fuller noted that it was “possible” agent provocateurs could be used to infiltrate the protesters and cause a violent flash point.

As we reported last week, following Governor Scott Walker’s revelation that he had put the Wisconsin National Guard on alert, a move deemed to be a “threat” designed to intimidate protesters according to some, 300 Guardsmen returned to the state from battling insurgents in Iraq.

The returning unit comprises roughly half of Wisconsin’s National Guard soldiers that are currently on active duty.

The last time violence was used in the state to break a workers’ rally was in 1886, when the Guard, then the State Militia, fired upon Milwaukee workers advocating an 8-hour work day, killing at least five people.

The Republican-controlled Assembly plans to debate and possibly vote on Walker’s bill today, but Democrat lawmakers, who fled the capitol last week to delay the process, plan to introduce more than 100 amendments in an effort to drag out the fight until concessions are made.

Naked Wheelchair Protester Targeted by TSA Over Buttocks

Agents single out woman who stood up to airport tyranny, ban her from flying

Steve Watson
Prisonplanet.com
Dec 30, 2010

A woman who hit headlines earlier this month for protesting the invasive new TSA airport security theatre by donning just a bra and panties has been targeted and prevented from flying by TSA officials who cited an “unusual contour” around her buttocks.

Wheelchair user Tammy Banovac was once again groped by TSA agents at Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport, where on November 30 she stripped to her underwear to protest what she described as persistent violation, involving the touching of her genitals at the hands of the TSA.

“If it happened anywhere else, it would have been sexual assault,” Ms Banovac has said, noting that she is hand searched every time she flies because of her disability.

Ms. Banovac’s protest led to an hour long interrogation at the hands of the TSA before she was denied access to her flight by officials who claimed they found traces of nitrates, which can be used in explosives, on her wheelchair

A video of the protest quickly became a viral Youtube sensation:

Now Ms Banovac has been targeted once again by the TSA.

This time she was fully clothed, yet TSA agents decided that after another full body groping, they were not happy for Banovac to board her flight to Phoenix.

“The stated reason was there was… They were unable to clear an unusual contour of my buttocks area,” Banovac told NewsOn6 in Oklahoma City.

According to the report Banovac was told she would be allowed to board her flight home the next day (Wed 29th December), after she had spent the night in the airport, for what purpose it is not clear.

“This is the most ridiculous sky security theatrics imaginable,” she told the reporters.

Banovac says that her earlier naked protest has backfired and that she is now routinely recognized by the TSA at airports.

Given the bizarre explanation or lack thereof for preventing her from flying for 24 hours, there can be little doubt that TSA agents are intent on punishing Banovac for her earlier protest by making her life hell every time she enters the airport.

Watch the NewsOn6 report:

This would not be the first time TSA agents have been caught pursuing a vendetta against a slave who has dared to step out of line and question the gods.

Earlier this year Stacey Armato was locked inside a glass box for almost an hour by TSA agents at Phoenix airport after she refused to allow them to put her breast milk through an x-ray device, a legitimate request that is even written into the TSA’s own guidelines.

Armato was informed by a police officer that she had been singled out by TSA agents who recognized her because she had filed a complaint against them regarding the handling of her breast milk the previous week.

Despite thousands of complaints over the security theatre, and even in the light of the revelation of gaping security flaws in TSA protocol, Big Sis Janet Napolitano has announced that the enhanced pat-downs and the naked body scanners are here to stay. Anyone who refuses to submit will presumably either be targeted in the same way Tammy Banovac has been, or simply arrested and carted off to prison, as in the case of rape victim and epileptic sufferer Claire Hirschkind.

FBI cites terror link in raids of local activists

Agents raided the Minneapolis homes of five antiwar activists, seizing computers and documents.

The FBI raided the Minneapolis homes of five antiwar activists, including three leaders of the Twin Cities peace movement, Friday morning as part of what it called a probe of "activities concerning the material support of terrorism."

The Minneapolis office of an antiwar organization was also raided, protest leaders said. No one was arrested in any of the raids...

FBI searches Midwest homes

MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) – FBI agents searched eight homes in Chicago and Minnesota on Friday as part of an investigation the law enforcement agency said related to "the material support of terrorism."

Targets of the searches accused the government of harassing anti-war protesters.

The investigation "concerns material support of terrorism but there is no imminent threat to the (U.S.) community," FBI spokesman Steve Warfield said.

No arrests were made related to the raids, FBI spokesmen in Minneapolis and Chicago said.

"We are interviewing people in other places in the country," Warfield added, without specifying where...
